The Waterside in particular has become a haven for food lovers. From the quaint Peacock's tearoom, to the traditional Cutter inn, from the extensive range of the Maltings to the finest of dining at The Boathouse, the riverfront has something to tempt you at any time of the day.

The choice isn't just limited to the city. Venture out into one of the nearby villages, and you will also find award-winning pubs and restaurants with extensive and unusual menus, and the chance to relax in picturesque settings whilst you eat.

Sampling food is of course not just about dining. Ely has an award winning Farmers Market as well as a traditional weekly market where a wealth of merchandise from the traditional to the more exotic - such as ostrich meat is on offer. Alternatively, call in to the farm outlet, La Hogue in the idyllic village of Chippenham and discover their extensive range of the highest quality produce and products.
