Cherry Hill Park

Park located between Ely cathedral and Ely Riverside.

Cherry Hill/Ely Park is situated in Ely with access off Broad Street and Barton Square. The park provides a link from the cathedral to the riverfront.

The council lease the park from the Dean and Chapter of Ely Cathedral. The park has a play area that is managed by the City of Ely Council and an Eel hive woven from living willow that is one of five piece of art that is part of the Ely Eel trail.

In addition to Ely's rich history, charm and beauty it is also a place that prides itself in hosting a vast range of events aimed at residents and visitors alike. Ely is very proud of its connection with eels and it is thought that the name Ely is derived from the Isle of Eels when Ely was surrounded by water and marshland.
