Lifebuoys are positioned along the riverside at Ely between the Cutter Inn and the Fisherman's Walk Car Park.
These are checked regularly by East Cambridgeshire town ranger staff, and any problem or vandalism is reported and rectified as quickly as possible by our maintenance team.
Peoples lives may depend on the lifebuoys being immediately available and in full usable condition at all times. Anyone witnessing misuse of any of the lifebuoys should immediately contact the local police on 0845-4564564.
