Information for Coach Drivers
We would like to give you a warm welcome to Ely and we understand that practical information in regards to your coach trip is crucial. One of Ely’s great advantages is that is so easy to get around. All the attractions, city centre, shopping facilities and riverside are within close walking distance from each other. Attractions such as Oliver Cromwell’s House even offer free admission to coach drivers to accompany their groups during their booked guided tour or any guided walking tour of Ely.
Ely’s city centre can easily be reached via the A10 Cambridge – King’s Lynn and by following the brown visitors signs upon reaching your destination. We encourage coach drivers to use the ‘Drop Off’ / “Pick Up” point in front of the Cathedral (map reference The Gallery CB7 4DB) where you can find a designated bay for coaches. Please be aware that this bay is limited to a 15 minutes stay. Public toilets are within close proximity to the drop off point.
From the drop of point it is only a short drive to the long stay coach car park on Barton Road Car Park (postcode CB7 4DX). Coach car parking is free and restricted to a 23 hours stay. The toilet facilities on Barton Road Car Park are open between 8 am – 5.15 pm and offer standard facilities, disabled access (RADAR lock) and baby changing facilities.
