Old Fire Engine House, Ely

The Old Fire Engine House is a traditional restaurant and art gallery, serving Fen inspired recipes and local produce since 1968. We offer morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and evening menus with an extensive wine list. A photo of the horse drawn fire engine, which was housed here at the turn of the century, hangs over the log fire in the bar and customers are welcome to explore both floors of the Georgian house; its cosy sitting room, contemporary art galleries and beautiful, walled gardens. The Royal Standard, Ely

The Royal Standard started as a one room public house in the 15th Century and is the oldest building on Ely's Forehill. The building has been extended over the years and is now one of Ely's most popular dining and meeting places. Our extensive food menu is focused on fresh and local as well as seafood and steak, with a good selection of traditional pub food thrown into the mix. An eclectic 60 bottle wine list compliments the varied menu and you can also expect to find well kept real ales, cocktails and a great range of premium spirits.

11a Forehill is Ely’s newest 'City Centre' kitchen, bar and cocktail lounge.  Nestled at the top of Fore Hill.  We are equidistant to Ely Cathedral and the River Great Ouse with ample free car parking space located in Forehill car park. Come and see for yourself just what’s going on at 11a.  Open from 11am for coffees, pastries and cake.  Kitchen open for all day dining from 12pm - 9pm.  Weekends, we like to turn the lights down low, put on some music, mix ’n’ shake some cocktails and relax.  Open until late Friday and Saturday evenings, 11a is the place to be whether it’s family time, catching up with friends, business meetings or just a quiet dinner for two.

The Almonry is a truly unique location nestled amongst the medieval precinct of Ely Cathedral with an excellent reputation for local sourced, home cooked food. The Red Lion, Soham

The Red Lion in Soham is a 17th century pub and restaurant serving rustic British and Mediterranean cuisine in a unique setting. The interior has been recently restored achieving a successful mix of new and old to create a welcoming cosy ambience with a contemporary twist. Formerly of the Old Fire Engine House in Ely, Lucy Jarman has taken on the restaurant, serving a modern rustic menu featuring a wide variety of dishes from game to traditional roasts and using local produce wherever possible.
