Oliver Cromwell’s House
For a meeting room with a difference, why not consider booking the Tithe Office at Oliver Cromwell’s House.
This atmospheric, 17th Century, oak panelled room, is ideal for a variety of meetings, away days, corporate or social functions. We also hire the whole house for filming purposes as well as Paranormal Investigations or team building exercises. All our refreshments have a 17th Century influence so whether it is a biscuit with your coffee, an afternoon tea or a full blown meal you can be assured of a unique tasting experience. Poets House
The Writing Room & The Boardroom – inspirational environments for meetings and seminars.
Each room is equipped with everything you need for a productive meeting and can be adapted to anything from a small boardroom meeting through to a full product launch. We can also cater for awards ceremonies, staff appreciation dinners, team building and team training days. Whatever the purpose of your meeting, you’ll enjoy the perfect combination of a warm welcome and exceptional service in luxurious surroundings.
The Writing Room is suitable for larger gatherings and can host up to 80 guests, dependent upon your room setup requirements.
The Boardroom is a more intimate space for groups of up to 20. Located on the first floor, it is ideal for a more formal board meeting.

The Maltings
The Maltings has a range of meeting rooms for hire.
The stunning Elysian Hall can be used for all events and conferences with a capacity of 242 theatre style, 150 cabaret or 400 standing. The beautiful brickwork gives it a rustic feeling in a beautiful setting with double doors opening into a break-out room where you can have refreshments served.
The light and bright Kempen room can be used for the smaller conference with capacity up to 70 guests in theatre style, 50 cabaret style and 100 standing. Located on the first floor giving a more exclusive feeling with breath-taking views of the river Ouse and the surrounding areas.
The Orsay Lounge is perfect for conferences under 15 guests, a small but bright room on the ground floor!
We have fantastic buffet menus and refreshments on offer!
Welney Visitor Centre
The Pond Room and The Goodwin Room are two truly inspirational spaces for meetings and seminars set in the fantastic Fen landscape.
Each room is equipped with everything you need for a productive meeting and can be set up for boardroom or theatre style. We can also cater team building sessions volunteering out on the reserve and team training days. Whatever the purpose of your meeting, you’ll enjoy a warm welcome and excellent service at an environmentally-friendly location set within incredible surroundings.
The Pond Room allows the flexibility to accommodate small meetings in half the room or larger gatherings using the full room (up to 60 theatre-style). Located on the first floor, the Goodwin Room is a more intimate space for groups of up to 12 (boardroom style).
Both rooms are fully accessible and are close proximity to the facilities.
Ely Library Meeting Room
Are you looking for somewhere to hold a business meeting, community event, or team get together? Cambridgeshire Libraries meeting rooms can be hired out for employers, council partners, community groups and individuals.
Ely library has modern, spacious meeting rooms, close to local amenities. There is a large public cark park nearby. Ely has good road links to Cambridge, and the North of the county.
Hire of these facilities is highly affordable and meeting rooms are priced at an hourly rate, so you only pay for the time required. The venue is supported by a team of friendly staff. This room is located in a non-public area and is designed for privacy.
Ely Museum Aedwen Room
Newly built in 2020, Ely Museum’s Aedwen Room is a bright and airy room which can be hired for meetings, training, talks and workshops.
The Aedwen Room is a modern and light meeting space within a self-contained wing adjoining The Old Gaol. Large windows and a high ceiling make the room feel open and inviting. The room can seat up to 20 people board room style and up to 40 people lecture style. Alternative layouts are possible – please ask for further details. With an integral kitchenette containing crockery, cutlery, glasses, a kettle and a small fridge, it makes the ideal space to hire in central Ely. The Aedwen room is equipped with chairs, tables, Flipchart (please supply your own paper), and a projector which has an HDMI connection.
