Candles in Pots Pottery Workshop

Join us for a 2 hr ceramics workshop at The Yard. Wednesday 13th August 18.30-20.30. We’ll be getting ready for that cosy Autumn aesthetic as we make pots for candles. We’ll be slab building tapered pots and using coloured slips, carving, and stamped relief work to decorate them. You’ll make a one of a kind pot which you can use for candles, pens, house plants and more! We’re also teaming up with Peonies and Palms, a local homeware business – if you want to turn your pot into a candle we’ll send it off to Yaz and it will come back to you full of a handmade wax candle in your choice of scent. There will be an additional charge if you choose to add a candle, and you can decide on the night. Final costs TBC. You can find Yaz on Ely’s Saturday market if you want to have a sniff in advance! We’ll guide you through the whole design and build process. All tools are provided, and a drink is included in the price. If you would like to fire and glaze your piece to keep forever there is an additional £5 charge, which is payable at the end of the workshop either by cash or card.
