Community Carols round the Beacon is a lovely new festive event organised by St Mary’s Church and Visit Ely, bringing everyone together for a relaxed evening of Christmas cheer. As the beacon glows and the carols start up, it’s all about enjoying that cosy, communal feeling – no pressure, no perfection, just singing along because it’s Christmas and it feels good.

Ely Rotary will be on hand with free hot drinks to keep everyone warm, which is always appreciated on a crisp December night. And to add a proper seasonal treat, Poets House are generously providing mince pies for everyone to enjoy. It’s a simple, welcoming way to ease into the celebrations, whether you’re coming with the family, meeting friends, or just fancy a moment of festive spirit.
