Cawdle Fen Retreat Day
Salt Circle Adventures ~ Cawdle Fen There is a particular kind of quiet that lives in the Fens. Not silence exactly ~ more like the land holding its breath. Salt Circle Adventures is a one-day retreat for women, held close to the new moon, beginning in central Ely and walking out into Cawdle Fen – ten kilometres of open sky, grass underfoot, birds threading the reeds. It is unhurried, small, and close to the ground.
You’ll be welcomed at Jess’ home with drinks and cake before the group sets out together along the river and into the fen. There is no performance required of you. Only your body, moving through landscape that has been here long before any of us, and will be here long after. When you return, there will be food – simple, vegetarian, made with care. And as the evening settles in, you’ll gather for Salt Circle: warm salted foot baths, candlelight, lunar reflections, and a folk tale woven from the stories of the fen itself. What’s included: welcome drinks and cake ~ guided 10km walk ~ astrological lunar musings ~ shared vegetarian meal ~ warm salt foot bath ~ magnesium butter self-reflexology practice ~ folk tale meditation ~ towels provided. Places are kept small – just 8 women – so the circle stays intimate and the day can breathe. Sundays 17th May & 12th July 2026 | 2pm–8pm | £75 per person Hosted by Jess Trent, reflexologist and retreat facilitator, based in Ely. Book your place at jesstrent.co.uk/saltcircleadventures
