Mapping Your Calm — Kirigami & Tea
Releasing What No Longer Serves — Kirigami & Tea We hold on to so much: old stories, patterns that used to serve us, relationships that have run their course. But letting go isn’t about forcing change—it’s about practicing the decisive cut. The clear boundary. The release. This workshop offers two quiet hours to practice the art of letting go—not as an abstract concept, but through the tactile act of cutting paper. You’ll Experience ✂️ Kirigami: The Art of Decisive Cutting Kirigami (切り紙) is the Japanese practice of cutting paper with intention. Each cut is a choice: what stays, what goes. Using scissors and paper, you’ll create delicate patterns by making clear, deliberate cuts. It’s not about perfection—it’s about practicing boundaries. What no longer serves you? What needs space to breathe? You’ll take home your kirigami creation as a reminder that you can release what weighs you down. 🍵 Mindful Tea Ceremony Warm herbal tea to support the release process. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, certain teas help move stagnant energy and support healthy boundaries. We’ll practice the ritual of pouring, holding, and tasting with full attention—allowing the body to settle as we prepare to let go. 🌸 Somatic Tracking Through gentle body-based guidance, we’ll notice where you hold tension, where hesitation lives, and where you feel the impulse to release. You’ll use somatic tracking cards to measure your nervous system shift from arrival to departure—seeing the before/after change in your body’s wisdom. You’ll Leave With Your own kirigami artwork—a tangible symbol of what you’re releasing A somatic understanding of where boundaries live in your body A 5-minute daily practice for recognizing when it’s time to let go Proof that your nervous system can shift in just two hours Not more information. But embodied practice that helps you feel lighter.
This workshop is for you if you: You are navigating a life transition (career shift, motherhood, or identity change) You tend to overthink decisions and feel “stuck” before starting You feel a bit of guilt when taking time for yourself You want a practice that feels embodied and real, not abstract You’re ready to release what no longer serves—but need permission and a gentle structure to do so No art experience needed. Pauline grew up in Hong Kong learning food as medicine and seasonal wisdom from her Po Po (grandmother)—ginger tea before symptoms appeared, soups for prevention. When eczema taught her to listen to her body’s messages, she rediscovered what her culture always knew: the body speaks clearly when we’re willing to hear. Now trained as a Body-Oriented Coach (The Somatic School, UK) in somatic psychology and Polyvagal Theory, she bridges ancestral practices with modern nervous system science—helping busy women find sustainable ways to regulate and reconnect with calm.
