At 10.54am on Saturday 11th November 2023 there will be a short service at Ely War Memorial, Market Place to commemorate the signing of the Armistice on the 11th November 1918. The service will include a 2 minute silence at 11.00am and the laying of wreaths by the Mayor of Ely, the ECDC Chairman, and the President of the City of Ely Royal British Legion Branch.

Everyone is welcome.

All are welcome to the Service of Remembrance in Ely Cathedral on Sunday 12th November 2023 starting at 10.30am. Afterwards, there will be a march through town and a parade and Act of Remembrance in the Market Square. The salute will be taken by Colonel Roger Herriot OBE, Deputy Lieutenant.

Prior to the Service of Remembrance in Ely Cathedral, a parade will take place at the Porta Gate, Barton Square, consisting of the Royal British Legion including Veterans and Serving Personnel, City of Ely Military Band, Standards, Cadet Forces and other Youth organisations. At the end of the Service, towards midday, the marching contingents, both uniformed and otherwise, will form up immediately outside the Cathedral in order to march through the town to the Market Place, via Minster Place and the High Street.

There will be a wreath laying service at Ely War Memorial, concluding with a 2 minute silence, and a march past the War Memorial, when the salute will be taken by the Deputy Lieutenant.
