By Motorhome
There are two free car parks for motorhomes in Ely – Forehill for small motorhomes (CB7 4AF) and Fishermans Car Park (CB7 4AT) for all motorhomes. Access to Fishermans Car Park is via Waterside and Willow Walk. Do not follow your sat nav.

By Bus
There are regular bus services linking Ely with the Cambridge, Newmarket and many of the surrounding villages. You can use the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Travel Planner to plan your journey or use Traveline who also have a premium rate telephone number 0871 200 2233.

By Coach
There are no scheduled coach services to Ely. The nearest stops are in Cambridge and Newmarket.
Ely’s city centre can easily be reached via the A10 Cambridge – King’s Lynn and by following the brown tourist signs upon reaching your destination. We encourage coach drivers to use the drop off/ pick up point either in front of Ely Tourist Information Centre (Oliver Cromwell’s House, St Mary’s Street CB7 4HF) or in front of the Cathedral (The Gallery CB7 4DH). Please be aware that these bays are limited to a 15 minute stay. Public toilets are within close proximity to both drop off points.
Free coach parking is located at Ellgia Football Club, Downham Road, Ely CB6 2SH which is approximately 5 minutes from the city centre. Here there are a number of food outlets and toilets.
By Rail
Ely boasts direct connections to London King’s Cross, Norwich, Cambridge, the Midlands and Stansted Airport.
Upon arrival it is only a 5 minute walk to Ely’s beautiful waterside or a further 10 minute walk into the heart of the City and the Tourist Information Centre. Taxis and buses are also available from the station.

By Air
The area is best served by Stansted Airport which has a direct rail connection to Ely. Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and East Midlands are all within reach by road and rail. Nearby Cambridge also has its own airport for private planes.
