A Brief History of G’s
G’s was founded by Guy Shropshire in 1952, today the business has grown to be an international food and farming business with farms across the UK, Spain, Senegal and Central Europe, growing salads and vegetables for the UK and European markets. The business remains a family business based in Barway, led by the third generation of the Shropshire family.

Why is community engagement important to you?
We’re passionate about making a positive impact in our local communities. Whether that’s here in Cambridgeshire or in our international businesses.
From working with schools and community groups to inspire the next generation about the journey of food through our Sowing Seeds program, to showcasing exciting career paths in the dynamic world of food and farming, we’re all about growing local connections and opportunities.
What are you hoping to achieve from the sponsorship?
We hope that we can raise the profile of all the exciting produce that is grown locally to Ely. This area really is the breadbasket of the UK and is extremely important in feeding our nation.

Will you be in attendance on the day to talk about your Company?
