A brief history of Watergull Orchards and how we produce our delicious Apple Juice
Watergull Orchards are a family business operating for over 25 years. We concentrate on producing a high-quality English apple juice. Our juice is made from the finest apples, all grown in Cambridgeshire.
The apple juice is pressed on the farm, soon after the apples have been harvested. The process is very simple. We hand select the best quality apples which are washed, then crushed into a fine pulp prior to pressing in our 30 tonnes press.
The apple juice is then bottled and pasteurised awaiting distribution. This all takes place in under 36 hours. We produce over 20 varieties of juice. Our apple juice is both delicious and healthy and contains no sweeteners, preserves of colourings. We are an allergen free site therefore use no yeast in any of our ciders. In more recent years we have been producing cider of which we have over 10 varieties again using the same high-quality apples used to make our juice.

Why community engagement is important to you
David Fisher, the founder of Watergull Orchards, came up with the idea of an Apple Festival. David is sadly no longer with us, but as a family business we continue to carry on his legacy and attending one of the finest events Ely has to offer. We are proud to see how it has grown over the many years, and proud to be part of such a well-established community event.
What are you hoping to achieve from the sponsorship?
Every year we attend this fabulous, well organised event and to be an integral part of the event we achieve that sense of giving something back to the community and of course, showcasing our products.

Engagement on the day of the event – will you be in attendance to talk about your Company?
We are always in attendance, every year, and happy (time permitting) to talk about our apples, the process of producing juice and cider, and of course discussing all the many varieties of apples. We are very much looking forward to the 25th Anniversary weekend.
