Ely Sailing Club Open Evening
FREE SAILING TASTER SESSIONS, MEMBERSHIP AND TRAINING COURSE INFORMATION. Are you looking for a new way to get outdoors and active or find something you can enjoy together with the family? Or just looking for a way to get involved in something locally? If the answer is yes, Ely Sailing Club is inviting you, your family and your friends to come and try sailing for FREE. Whether you’re completely new to the sport or looking to get back on the water, our Open Day is the perfect time to give it a go. Therefore, we are inviting the local community to come down to have a go at sailing with us, see what Ely Sailing Club has to offer and get involved. Who knows, you might just get hooked!
Starting at 6:30pm, on Friday 8th May, you’re warmly invited to tour the lake and sample the delights of sailing by enjoying a FREE taster session out on the water in the capable hands of experienced sailors who will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. All buoyancy aids will be provided & there’s absolutley no experience needed. As an RYA Training Centre, should you wish to progress your interest, our training team will be on hand to provide information about our RYA approved training courses together with details of membership.
Hot & cold drinks, ice creams and small snacks will be available to purchase from the galley tuck shop at both events. Sailing at Ely can be as physical or relaxing as you wish to make it, you can sail with others or on your own, do it competitively or potter about and just enjoy the gentle escape of being outside in the fresh air. We would love for you to join us!
